WHAT WE SING
We sing a mix range of music, taking inspiration from the singers themselves to the weather! The song choices will be a mixed balance of popular songs from various genres and eras (which our singers may be familiar with) to something new and different (those really give our brain a bit of a workout!)
How are the sessions run?
Our sessions are held normally on Sunday afternoons at Harmony Hall PJ and are between 90 -120 minutes in length, with a short break in between. We begin all sessions with a light physical, brain and vocal warmup (very important!) before immersing into songs. Some songs are taught by ear (lyrics will be provided) and some songs we teach with a music score, though a music background is not required. Depending on the group, we sing in unison and sometimes up to 4 part harmony. There's always plenty of laughter and smiles in our sessions and our choir leader Cheryl is committed to providing a safe and non-judgemental learning environment for all. We aim to give our singers the opportunity to enjoy the music making process. There are no auditions to join the group and no singing experience is needed.
WHERE ARE REHEARSAL HELD?
We rehearse at Harmony Hall PJ which is located at 3TWo Square, Section 19, Petaling Jaya. The location offers safe and secured covered parking lots at RM3/entry (on weekends and public holidays). We are located on a the first floor and there is a lift that will take you up if you prefer. In a post-pandemic era, the hall is regularly sanitized and large enough so that there is physical distancing between singers. Usage of masks is encouraged.
